Boğaziçi Ventures is an alternative asset management company that invests in technology startups from seed stage to Pre-IPO stage with its different funds that have different strategies. Our Board of Directors has a strong technology entrepreneurship background with fintech, online gaming and energy industry exits and IPO experience in the region and has the combined experience of more than 150 tech investments.

‍Our aim is to combine the power and experience of traditional capital with the disruptive and talented technology ventures. Boğaziçi Ventures plays a key role to moderate the long-term relationship between both sides. We are focusing on investing in tech-ventures which are willing to bring down the traditional industries and capable of developing evolutionary technologies, and engaging investors into these fields to make the ecosystem in our region grow sturdily and survive.

Our strategy in active VC fund "BV Growth” is to find promising early-stage tech startups in gaming, fintech, retailtech, digital health and edutech areas with talented teams and scalable business models. We act as their partners to support them strategically with our know-how.

Looking for a core team member who will be playing an Investment Analyst/Associate role at Bogazici Ventures VC Fund! You’ll be part of the whole deal journey and execute the investment processes from scratch such as research and deal sourcing, deal due diligence, analysis of the markets and competitive landscape and also management of the existing portfolio.

Responsibilities;

• Research-driven sector analysis for our main investment mandates and technology verticals including identification of major trends, evaluation of market dynamics and assessment of potential investment targets,
• Support both inbound and outbound deal sourcing and leverage our network to continuously identify excellent new investment opportunities made by talented developers,
• Support the due diligence process by evaluating prospective investments using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and you synthesize & present your findings in a structured way,
• Work on new and follow-on venture deals by making the analysis of potential investment deals with valuation and presenting it to the investment committee with the support of related partners,
• Help create investment insights and hypotheses, by conducting market, product, customer and financial due diligence,
• Hands-on support on portfolio by maintaining a great relationship and open communication with the founders,
• Attend events and conferences to support deal sourcing and to represent Bogazici Ventures’ brand in the tech scene,
• Contribute to the overall company development of Bogazici Ventures by regularly contributing to firm-wide initiatives.

Your Profile;

• Outstanding academics with first practical experience (1-2 years) in a similar industry (Project management experience is a plus),
• Passion for technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture investing,
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and the clear ability to make the complex simple,
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present your opinion and ideas in a structured/analytical way,
• You thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment with a high degree of autonomy,
• Team player with high standards of professional and ethical conduct,
• Great interpersonal skills and openness to feedback,
• Fluency in verbal and spoken English.
