A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a background in investment attraction and lead generation, together with a detailed understanding of the global business environment (in particular, as it relates to the USA), to join the VGTI network.
Reporting to the Senior Director Investment & Operations, San Francisco, the successful applicant will support a team of investment managers across the Americas and work with colleagues in Melbourne. Engaging with companies across multiple sectors including Technology, Health and Life Sciences, Energy, Defence and Aerospace and Agri Food. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, impact-driven, and passionate about international trade and investment.
Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
Proven experience in investment facilitation and attraction, particularly in the technology sector.
Sound understanding of the North American and Victorian business environments, including Victorian competitive advantages, and key drivers affecting investment.
Proven analytical skills and knowledge in investment promotion, international investment decision making and an ability to engage with companies, provide advice, and negotiate.
Experience in desktop and primary research to identify new opportunities.
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements and costs in relation to relocation and visas (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
