Company Overview:

Top Tier Capital Partners (“TTCP” or the “Company”) is an investment manager with families of funds focused on primary commitments to venture funds, LP, direct secondaries, and direct investments.  For over two decades, Top Tier and its predecessor firm have made 160+ global investments backing top investors and innovators. Position Overview:

The Company is looking for a Senior Analyst or Associate in their London office. This employee will be a part of TTCP’s 15-person Investment Team, which is led by the Chief Investment Officer.  The Senior Analyst or Associate will report to the Investment team’s Principal in the London office and work collaboratively with all Investment Team members globally.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the due diligence and execution of primary, secondary, and co-investment opportunities, including conducting research and analysis for investment materials.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the VC landscape and TTCP’s business and core investment relationships. 
  • Participate in meetings with both existing and prospective venture firms globally.
  • Be actively involved in data analytics and portfolio monitoring.  
  • Provide strong analytical skills and an ability to analyze and showcase numbers, write papers, and create presentations – all as ways to effectively communicate with the broader team and (as applicable) to our clients in the form of meeting notes, investment presentations, investment memorandums, white papers, and investment summaries. 
  • Contribute towards the production of marketing and fundraising materials, such as pitch decks, PPMs, standard DDQs, annual investor meetings, and ad-hoc presentations.
  • Support the Investor Relations team in handling inbound fundraising queries and RFPs, collaborating with various departments to answer LP questions and fulfill data requests.
  • Develop one’s own network of relevant peers in the venture capital ecosystems.  
  • Help teams prepare for and actively participate in TTCP investor and investment functions or meetings with GPs. 
  • Assist with training and mentoring Analysts as applicable. 

 
Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Technical and intellectual skills required:

o    Intellectual competency, capable of critical and analytical thinking

o    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

o    High attention to detail and accuracy in written content, charts, and data

o    Exceptional PowerPoint skills

o    Strong modelling skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

·         Comfortable working in a small office while building strong relationships with colleagues across multiple offices and time zones

 

Education and Experience:

·         2-5 years of relevant venture capital and/or private equity experience.

·         Applicable undergraduate college degree; MBA optional.

·         Background and interest in fund of funds, secondaries, direct investing, and venture capital. 

·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Other Requirements:

·         Willingness to work beyond the standard office hours, including occasional weekends, as needed.

·         Ability to regularly work on-site in accordance with the company’s in-office policies.
