Introduction

Temasek is a growth-focused investor backing category-leading and category-creating businesses across private and public stages.

We are looking to expand our T&C team, with an Associate or Senior Associate focusing on public investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, an entrepreneurial mindset, and deep curiosity about technology (software) business models and trends.

Responsibilities

• Assess public equities, IPO and PIPE investment opportunities across tech and consumer subsectors
• Drive investment views and inform decisions via due diligence and industry and company analysis
• Own and run financial modelling workstreams, including operating model, returns analysis, and valuation analysis
• Prepare investment memoranda and other internal materials for individual investments
• Track relevant industry trends to support management engagement and reinvestment / divestment decisions

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience with a top-tier firm in public equities, equity research, investment banking / M&A advisory, private equity, or management consulting,

Prior experience in technology (software) verticals highly preferred

• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to deepen transaction expertise across multiple private stages
• Strong analytical abilities and financial modelling skills, as well as a strong understanding of financial statements
• Driven self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
• Good communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills
• Strong academic credentials, ideally from finance/accounting/economics/engineering background
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Salary Range: US$120k to US$175k annually (not including additional incentive compensation). Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and other conditions of employment.
