Antler is the investor backing the world’s most driven founders from day zero to greatness. Founded on the belief that people innovating is the key to building a better future, we partner with people across six continents to launch and scale high-potential startups that address meaningful opportunities and challenges. Knowing that exceptional founders can come from anywhere with any background, we have offices in over 25 cities, including Austin, New York, London, Berlin, Stockholm, Bangalore, Jakarta, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney. Our global community backs people from the beginning with co-founder matching, deep business model validation, initial capital, expansion support, and follow-on funding. Fueled by a personal passion beyond traditional investing, we have helped create and invest in over 1,000 startups across a wide range of industries and technologies to back over 6,000 by 2030.

About the Role

We seek someone to lead our UK scouting operations from our London office and ensure we support the 200+ most exceptional former founders, technologists, operations and domain leaders every year. The role is crucial for our success, both in the region and globally, as finding and attracting talented founders is key to our mission to invest in 30+ high-growth companies each year. This role allows you to take personal responsibility for the leadership of our team and fund, which will have an incredible impact on the next generation of founders from the UK innovation ecosystem, where we’ve already backed founders from more than 45 nationalities.

You will have strong business acumen to identify and attract entrepreneurial talent to our residency. You will lead the strategies and operations to originate the most exceptional entrepreneurs, including working with top universities, entrepreneurial communities and other investors. Each year, we receive 6,000+ applicants (in the UK). As the front line with entrepreneurs, you will understand why they want to be founders, listen to and understand the problems they want to solve, and review their business ideas and the size of the opportunity.

You will communicate to founders why Antler is an excellent place to start their companies, understanding that talented founders have many options. If you’re up for the challenge, we can promise an incredible experience and an unparalleled opportunity to work with highly motivated individuals, accomplished entrepreneurs, and the founders of future startup successes.

Responsibilities

The role requires an entrepreneurial and people-focused mindset, strong organisational skills, a balance of independence and collaboration, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, passion for entrepreneurship, and a focus on results. Alongside leading strategies and ensuring operational excellence, you will support Antler’s operations and lead the growth of Antler’s footprint in the UK:

  • Discovering exceptional entrepreneurs to be part of our cohorts, from which 20 - 30 great companies will emerge annually.
  • Become an expert with market knowledge on where top entrepreneurs emerge from.
  • Lead regional sourcing strategies for high-quality founders, including defining who we are looking for, where they are, and how we reach them with our value proposition.
  • Support founders joining Antler to ensure a flawless onboarding process and act as coach/advisor for emerging companies.
  • Develop a targeted marketing strategy to extend Antler’s reach in the UK.
  • Collaborate on designing, developing, delivering and iterating materials and content for workshops, keynotes, roundtables and office hours.
  • Be a powerful brand ambassador for Antler.

Experience

The following is a non-exhaustive list of experiences we’re looking for in candidates. We aren’t expecting you to tick all the boxes and aren't considering certain criteria: must-haves or nice-to-haves. So, please apply if you can see yourself in part of what is written below.

  • Experience in the Startup Ecosystem:
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience in venture capital, accelerators, or operational roles within high-growth startups.

  • Experience organising and leading high-impact entrepreneurial events and workshops that enhance community engagement and brand presence.

We embrace diversity and equality. We are committed to building a team with various backgrounds, skills, and views. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Gender-diverse founding teams make up more than 30% of our portfolio companies. While outperforming the industry by more than 10:1, this still proves there is a long way to go.
