KEEN Venture Partners is a radically human venture capital firm that invests in fast-growing European technology companies at the early stages. Based in Amsterdam, our team of eight manages €270m in commitments over two funds. Our portfolio companies are active in a diverse set of tech sectors but all share the same entrepreneurial DNA. Current portfolio companies include the likes of Beekeeper, Mollie, Plan A, and Crisp, among others.

At Keen we are thesis-driven investors. We execute on investment ideas that are based on fundamental trends in specific areas of technology where we can make a real contribution with our experience and network. Our efforts here are focused on AI, FinOps, Climate tech and Defense tech. We invest primarily in B2B SaaS businesses (with exception of defense, where we also focus on hardware) at the late Seed, Series A, and early Series B stages across Europe.

When getting to know entrepreneurs, we invest time first & money later. Our approach is to start by sharing our network, experience and capabilities well before any investment possibility arises. We believe getting to know each other, gaining trust, and proving demonstrable value, is the foundation for a successful long-term partnership.

Keen is looking to add 1-2 Associates to our Amsterdam-based team. This is an opportunity for exceptional people who can take on significant responsibility quickly. We’re looking for people who are personable, ambitious, embrace a point of view, love a bit of good debate, and importantly - have a great sense of humor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You’ll be an integral part of our investment team, playing a key role in all elements of venture capital investing:

• Build your own network with entrepreneurs, venture capital peers, advisors and industry experts to create your own ‘funnel’ of opportunities;
• Evaluate investment opportunities and develop investment recommendations;
• Independently drive aspects of deal execution: manage due diligence, negotiation, documentation and workstream co-ordination;
• Support portfolio companies together with the Keen team;
• Be an ambassador for Keen in the wider tech ecosystem.

REQUIREMENTS:

• An exceptional record of academic achievement;
• 3-5(max) years of total professional experience, of which:
• A passion for enterprise technology and a good understanding of the European tech ecosystem. An already-established strong and diverse network is a plus;
• Particular interest in and affinity for at least one of Keen’s focus areas (AI, FinOps, Climate tech, Defense tech);
• A curious mind with distinctive and proven analytical abilities and great attention to detail;
• It’s a plus if you have already had entrepreneurial experiences (e.g. founding or being part of the early stages of a start-up) or come from a technical background;
• Fluent English, additional languages a plus.
