Role and Responsibilities

OpenView is seeking a Co-Op to join our Finance team. This person will have the opportunity to gain exposure to both operational and investment accounting, as well as reporting to investors and internal stakeholders. There also will be the opportunity to grow within the role and become involved in more complex finance related tasks.

The Finance and Accounting Co-Op will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and allocating employee expenses
• Assisting with Accounts Payable, including interfacing with vendors
• Pulling monthly bank statements
• Rolling, refreshing and preparing reporting and tax workbooks
• Managing mail scanning and distributing, mail merges, PDF converting, and formatting
• Booking monthly journal entries
• Maintaining investor portal with contact updates
• Confirming wire instructions ahead of distributions and fundings
• Collecting and inputting financial metrics from portfolio companies
• Assisting in the preparation and formatting of LP deliverables including: Audited Financial Statements, Quarterly Reports, Capital Call Statements and Distribution Notices

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team and is excited to dig in and help – wherever needed:

• A junior, senior, or recent grad pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Consistent and precise attention to detail with strong organization skills
• Self-starter with strong communication skills, team‐player attitude, and independent problem-solving skills
• Able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic organization that values continuous rapid improvement
• Office-first position
• Minimum GPA 3.4 on a 4.0 scale
