Job Description
Group Venture Portfolio Management is responsible for the management of the DB1 Venture Fund. DB1 Ventures’ strategy is to be an engaged, long-term strategic partner and provider of capital to early to growth stage companies, which are core or adjacent to DBG’s strategy and generate meaningful financial returns. As a Group Venture Portfolio employee you will support the investment lifecycle of (potential) portfolio companies and their management. You will also be (together with the team) in close contact with the decision-makers of Deutsche Börse Group.
Your responsibilities:
- Support management of venture investment projects and strategic initiatives within Group Venture Portfolio Management
- Prepare business assessments and validation of business models/plans, financial modelling and company valuations
- Participate in all aspects of due diligence processes and the preparation of transaction documents
- Preparation of presentations and decision documents for the Group Executive Board and other senior executive management of Deutsche Börse Group
- Support post-transaction monitoring and business plan achievement of portfolio companies
Your profile:
- University degree in business with distinction
- Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
- First professional experience or internships in the fields of venture capital, M&A/corporate finance or private equity
- First knowledge of DBAG’s current portfolio of shareholdings
- Knowledge of relevance / functioning of capital markets and in-depth understanding of business principles / processes
- Very high commitment, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
- Team-player with good communication skills and flexible
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (knowledge of German is an advantage)
