Founded in 2012, Susa is a venture capital firm that supports founders building category-defining companies in technology and manages over $1B in capital. We primarily invest in software and AI-enabled businesses across healthcare, fintech, supply chain, B2B SaaS, and infrastructure/developer tools. We are company builders and have supported companies like Robinhood, Flexport, Stord, Viz and Newfront.

The Opportunity:
Susa is seeking a Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and lead firm branding, marketing and PR initiatives. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to help shape the narrative of and drive visibility around the firm and its portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity for someone excited to help build a generational venture firm with a combination of strategic, creative, and operational experience. This role will be responsible for strategically identifying and building brand, marketing and communications initiatives to position the firm and our team as leading voices in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead brand and marketing strategy and execution across all avenues (e.g., PR, speaking events, content output, community building)
- Structure and orchestrate key marketing initiatives related to content development across all funds
- Develop and own brand narrative on all key channels
- Own industry networks and secure brand-building opportunities for partners to write, speak, and lead key conversations
- Depending on seniority, responsibilities could include broader operations team ownership  

Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have deep experience in brand, marketing or communications at a large tech company and track record building and growing brands. Key sets of experiences include:
- 10+ years of experience in brand, marketing or communications at a large tech company; experience in brand, marketing or communications at a venture fund is a benefit
- Track record of successfully growing multi-channel marketing strategies and executing initiatives
- Structured problem solver with experience building in low structure environments; track records of creating structured processes and executing across them  
- High initiative executor with the ability to work independently and drive towards outcomes
- Experience building and leading teams
