The Role
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on Venture Capital experience ranging from investment processes, operations, marketing, and business development. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our dynamic team, contribute to key projects, and develop valuable skills in the venture capital industry.
What will you be doing?
The role will be working across the Fuel Venture business, splitting your time across 3 key areas. The responsibilities below give you an overview of the work you will be getting involved with;
Investment Team:
- Update and maintain CRM platforms such as Visible and Pipedrive.
- Conduct market analysis, sizing, and competitor benchmarking.
- Review Airtable to identify and evaluate promising new deals.
- Assist in drafting Investment Committee (IC) documents.
- Support deal sourcing and take detailed notes during founder calls and meetings.
Operations & Marketing:
- Write monthly newsletters for founders (audience: 280+).
- Write bi-monthly investor newsletters (audience: 1,000+).
- Create editor notes for podcast episodes and draft bespoke questions for interviews.
- Compile and submit monthly fund/investment reports to Beauhurst.
- Schedule and coordinate PR kick-off calls.
- Arrange and manage founder testimonial video production, including scheduling stakeholders, drafting questions, and editing recordings.
- Monitor social media and news platforms for relevant industry updates.
Business Development:
- Conduct prospect and client research.
- Gather headline and research reports to support the Business Development (BD) team.
- Create engaging outreach content for the BD team to use in calls and emails.
Who we are looking for:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Understanding research and analytical abilities to gather and interpret data.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic level knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok)
- A keen interest in venture capital, tech, startups, and emerging industries
This is a 3-month internship with the potential to convert into a permanent role.
