Failup Ventures is hiring an off-season intern to join the team in the Fall. We’re looking for a person to join the team as soon as possible and stay with the team until December 31, 2024 in Helsinki.

This is an unique opportunity for up and coming talent to get a glimpse into the venture capital world and learn about international investing and fund strategies. At Failup, we invest in startups across the Nordics as well as in the United States.

Founded by three previous Finnish entrepreneurs and angel investora – Failup Ventures backs early-stage startups with strong, mission-driven teams. Failup’s typical initial investments range from 200K€ to 1M€ with the capability to follow up with larger tickets.

Role Description

Your job is to analyze potential investments and assist the team members with their analyses and startup deals. You will do background research, market and competitor analysis. You’ll also get to participate in the meetings with startups on a daily basis. You will get to represent Failup Ventures in various events, especially during the Slush-season.

How to succeed in this position?

To succeed in this position, you need to have a close eye for detail and an understanding of the current status of technology markets and, above all, a genuine interest in startups and early-stage companies. We also expect the following from the intern:

• Curiosity for the tech-driven world and new innovations
• Analytical thinking skills, a systematic approach and creativity
• Excellent interaction and collaboration skills and enthusiasm for customer service
• A positive and open-minded attitude and an eagerness for continuous self-development
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Experience with startups, Slush or other experience in student entrepreneurship organizations is considered to be an advantage.

We don’t want your background education to limit any of your choices and welcome students from all university backgrounds. Most important is that you to have a intrinsic interest towards venture capital, tech and the startup world.

Monthly salary range for this internship position is between €2,000 to €3,500 depending on experience and time-commitment. This position is open for both part-time and full-time employees. Please indicate your interest in this regard in the application.
