We are looking to expand our Portfolio Controlling and are hiring a part-time Working Student in Vienna!

About the Position

In this role, you will support the Portfolio Controlling team and gain exposure to the full spectrum of portfolio monitoring processes, transaction structuring, and data collection activities. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop deep insights into how a venture capital fund manages its activities. Sitting at the heart of fund operations, the Portfolio Controlling team works closely with the Fund Reporting and Finance teams, making it an ideal and dynamic starting point for your career.

This role will play a key part in building the processes that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will collaborate with all teams at Speedinvest and, alongside your core responsibilities, lead and implement various cross-functional projects.

Your Responsibilities

Ensure the accurate capture and entry of portfolio company transactions, and support the smooth operation of our internal portfolio management system

Develop a strong understanding of portfolio controlling procedures and tools, and proactively contribute during reporting cycles

Contribute to data analysis and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making

Assist in the review of capitalization tables and exit distribution models (Excel-based)

Provide operational support during the execution of investment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Your Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in business, finance, economics, or a related field

Basic understanding of financial analysis, financial modelling and Venture Capital

Smart and analytical approach to work, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset initiative and ownership are highly valued

Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing nature and team mentality

Eager to learn more about VC and financial modelling

Fluent in English, additional language is a plus

According to Austrian law we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum annual gross salary for this role, on a full-time basis is EUR 32,000.00. The salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence overpayment is possible.
