- Conduct research on Internet industries to assist with formulating investment strategies in Europe.
- Prepare detailed analyses of specific industries and companies to identify growth opportunities within the Internet and related industries such as AI.
- Build and maintain financial models of companies in the course of investment research.
- Conduct due diligence on potential investment targets, conduct valuation and draft term sheets when necessary.
- Liaise with external companies and universities, as well as internal Tencent teams, to develop new relationships and support collaborations.
- Facilitate and support the day-to-day management of Tencent Europe Office.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Scholar, ideally from a technical background (computer science/physics/maths, etc.) A deep specialism (Ph.D. or Postdoc) or software development experience would be a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of the tech/start-up ecosystem and AI landscape.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand financial statements. Basic knowledge of accounting standards is required. Over 2 years of working experience in PE/VC, investment banking, consulting firms, or related industry.
- High level of integrity, dedication, and motivation, as well as passion to learn about new areas; the ability to work independently with some oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit, and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
