Job Description:
We are seeking multiple Healthcare Investment Professionals to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the investment team by conducting research, sourcing deals, performing due diligence, conducting financial analysis, and making investment recommendations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in finance, economics, or a related field, and/or an MBA, with excellent analytical, communication, and collaborative skills. Candidates should also possess capabilities in healthcare, healthtech, or biotech sectors, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within these fields.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor developments in the global macro environment, financial markets, and emerging trends within healthcare, healthtech, and biotech sectors.
- Conduct due diligence, including meetings with potential investee companies, data analysis, financial modeling, operational risk assessments, and writing investment memos.
- Present potential investment deals to the fund’s investment committee, articulating the investment thesis effectively.
- Perform ongoing monitoring of existing portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and goals.
- Prepare periodic reports and analyses, including return attribution, benchmarking, and exposure.
- Identify and originate global investment opportunities in healthcare, healthtech, and biotech.
- Assess commercial viability and conduct due diligence on investment targets.
- Structure investments and negotiate terms as appropriate.
- Partner with portfolio companies to grow value and achieve higher returns on investment through strategic implementation and business development.
Overall Requirements:
- Strong PhD/Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, Medicine, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business. MBA graduates will also be considered.
- Relevant working experience in investment banking, corporate finance, and/or investment-related roles. PE/VC investment experience is a bonus.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg, Capital IQ preferred but not required.
- Excellent relationship management capabilities, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and networking skills.
- Ability to manage overlapping tasks and assist in ad-hoc duties as assigned.
