We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investor Relations role with a primary focus on USD fundraising and investor relations management. This role works closely with the founding partners, contributing to the strategic growth of the firm by establishing and strengthening relationships with the firm’s existing and potential investors globally. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, a strong team player, and a fast learner with a keen interest in the investment industry. We give preference to candidates with a strong knowledge of venture capital and a proven track record in managing investor relationships and fundraising.
Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to attract institutional and individual investors, primarily for USD-denominated funds. The candidate should also support the firm’s Head of Business Development in RMB-denominated funds.
- Investor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective investors, providing timely updates on the firm’s activities, portfolio, and performance.
- Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with LPs and other stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
- Investor Meetings & Events: Organize and attend investor meetings, roadshows, and AGMs to build and maintain relationships with investors.
- Marketing Materials: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare investor pitch decks, quarterly updates, annual reports, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
- Due Diligence: Support the fundraising process by coordinating investor due diligence, including responding to investor inquiries and managing data rooms.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging investor needs, providing insights to the partners for strategic decision-making.
- ESG Efforts: Serve as the responsible officer for the firm’s ESG initiatives and the primary contact point for the UN PRI, ensuring alignment with the UN PRI guidelines, industry best practices and investor expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics, Communication, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- 3+ years of experience in investor relations or similar relationship management capacities, preferably within a venture capital, private equity, or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of venture capital fundraising processes, investor preferences, and the macro environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
