Job Description
At BECO Capital, we are seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join our team and help drive our mission to support early-stage tech entrepreneurs across the MENA region and beyond. As an Investor Relations Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with our current and potential investors, providing them with key insights into our portfolio companies and the broader venture capital landscape. You will work closely with our senior team members to support fundraising and business development efforts, and help shape the future of our ecosystem in the region. Our company has invested in over 40 startups, including three of the region's unicorns, and we are excited to continue growing our impact with your help.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and clear communication with our prospective and existing investors regarding fund performance and potential investment opportunities.
- Project manage fundraising efforts for BECO Capital and BECO's portfolio companies, including creating investor-facing materials, preparing investor updates, and conducting research on potential investors.
- Provide investors with key insights into our portfolio companies and the broader venture capital landscape, through data analytics and research.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the region.
- Support our senior team members in their business development efforts by preparing materials and conducting research on potential partners.
- Continuously improve our processes and systems to ensure our investor relations function is world-class.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Business, Economics).
- 2-4 years of experience in investor relations or in a sales operations role at a fast-paced scale-up
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, able to conduct analysis on investor engagement
- Strong commercial acumen, able to clearly and concisely communicate business performance updates to investors
- Outstanding internal and external stakeholder skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent project and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, as well as timeliness, in all communications and outputs.
- Strong excel skills and proven ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
