The Opportunity
We are seeking an Expert Sector Lead to join our team. This role is designed for a well-established MD actively practicing medicine or a PhD with extensive publications and deep domain expertise in their field. The position is critical to our investment process, ensuring that each of our portfolio companies is backed by sector-specific scientific expertise and guided by leaders with strong reputations in their respective fields.
As an Expert Sector Lead, you will:
- Provide Domain Expertise: Act as a thought leader within your sector (e.g., oncology, cardiology, neurology, diagnostics, etc.), guiding our investment decisions with deep scientific knowledge.
- Expand Our Network: Leverage your reputation and relationships to bring other like-minded experts (physicians, researchers) to the table, with the goal of attracting both investment partners and LPs who share our vision of transforming healthcare through AI.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Companies: Work closely with our portfolio companies, offering guidance on scientific development, clinical pathways, and go-to-market strategies within your area of expertise.
- Attract Sector-Specific LPs: Help us build a unique LP base by attracting industry experts who understand the value of investing in companies within their respective fields. Imagine an oncology deal backed by a network of oncologists investing in the future of healthcare—this is just one example of the type of impact we seek to create.
Who You Are
- MD or PhD with Significant Industry Standing: You are either an actively practicing physician or a researcher with numerous publications and a strong reputation in your field.
- Well-Connected: You have a robust network of like-minded professionals in your sector who could be interested in co-investing or supporting our portfolio companies.
