The Role

We’re looking for a relentless builder to grow 5050 into the world’s best onramp for deep tech founders. You'll inspire and equip hundreds of scientists and engineers to tackle civilization-scale problems, grow into great founders, and build indispensable companies.

You’ll execute all aspects of the program: identifying future deep tech founders, building recruitment funnels, and delivering experiences for 5050 that lead to the creation of counterfactual companies. Working alongside the 50Y Partners, you'll design and run 5050 workshops, cohort retreats, and office hours.

As a trusted partner to founders-in-the-making, you'll support scientists and engineers as they navigate their entrepreneurial journey, ensuring participants are deeply supported with the mentorship, resources, and introductions they need. At 50Y, we’ve developed the 5050 curriculum from scratch and constantly iterate on every aspect of the program.

You’ll set the creative and strategic vision to push 5050 into new frontiers, from experimenting with new pedagogy to producing short films about deep tech founders and spinning up new initiatives, like an AI alignment-focused track.

• You:Are a former founder, an early hire at a deep tech startup, a recent PhD graduate passionate about science entrepreneurship, or have experience supporting early-stage founders
• Have high founder empathy and good people intuition
• Bring extreme intensity and craft to your work
• Take initiative and have an entrepreneurial mindset
• Can maintain focus in a fast-paced setting while keeping sight of the big picture
• Write and communicate clearly
• Are willing to work after hours and on weekends as required
• Are hungry to learn and willing to make mistakes :)
