Asset Partners is pleased to be exclusively mandated with 3VC in Vienna to secure an Investment Associate or Investment Manager for their investment team. 3VC is a European venture capital fund that invests in carefully selected software start-ups with global ambition, starting from Series A. Together with their extensive network, their entrepreneurial team provides dedicated support to their portfolio companies. 3VC’s portfolio includes category-defining companies like Assaia, Lokalise, Pactum, Shop Circle, Creatopy, Simpleclub and Storyblok.
As an Associate or Investment Manager (dependent on experience), you will become an integral part of the firm’s investment team. Your primary role will be to find and evaluate start-ups for investment by 3VC, as well as to structure and support investment processes and support portfolio companies. 3VC interacts with many businesses, and it’s important to quickly and thoroughly prioritize, filter and assess. Outbound lead generation is key, as well as thematic research and relationship building with the most ambitious founders across Europe - often and ideally before they start actively looking for funding.
You will be:
- Sourcing potential investment opportunities across Europe (DACH, CEE and the Baltics)
- Building strong relationships with founders of high-growth companies and investors
- Supporting due diligence through the investment process, including market assessment, reference calls, analysis of unit economics, financial planning and modelling, etc.
- Supporting portfolio companies as they grow their business. This could include analysing competitors and market opportunities or attending board meetings.

- You have a passion for software and technology.
- You are curious; you are someone who naturally spends their spare hours learning and looking at new and innovative things that can impact the way we live and work. You are expected to have opinionated views on major trends as well as on individual opportunities.
- You are a driven self-starter.
- You are comfortable in dealing with high-paced and potentially stressful situations while remaining optimistic.
- You have strong written and oral communication skills in English, knowledge of German or an Eastern European language is a plus. You should enjoy being out there, representing 3VC.
- It’s important that you work well in a team of equals.
- You are an EU citizen and/or have a work permit for Austria
Prior Experience
- 2-7 years of full-time experience
- You have gained experience or exposure to equity transactions as an investor (min. 1 year)
- Ideally, you have also founded or worked in a start-up.
