MBA Intern 2023

Job Description

We are looking to support one MBA Internship in our London office for 4 months from September to December 2023.

Your main responsibilities will be to work collaboratively with the investment team to:

• Portfolio Company Project: Work on a specific business development area with one or more of our portfolio companies. This role will involve working closely with the investment partner and the founders over a period of time to deliver a piece of work to drive the company forward.
• Internal Research and Due Diligence: Perform research driven sector analysis for our core theses. These will include mapping out the chosen sector to identify core trends, assess market dynamics and identify a shortlist of start-ups to approach as potential investments. This may also include filtering and evaluating existing deal opportunities through a detailed due diligence process.
  

You will also have the opportunity to attend industry events with the Lakestar investment team in order to network and build relationships with experts in the ecosystem thereby building greater understanding in this field and of the investment process as a whole.

YOUR PROFILE

• Said Business School student, with an excellent academic track record
• Previous relevant technical work experience (hands-on role in an early start-up is a plus)
• Strong understanding of internet infrastructure and web technology
• Passion for investing and understanding the process
• Excellent analytical, communication and strong team player skills
• Fluency in English
