NextView is currently seeking a full-time Network Operations Associate. This person will report to and assist NextView’s Director of Platform, Rachel Hodes, with a variety of different projects and initiatives, while also gaining direct exposure to the entirety of the NextView investing team and portfolio of early-stage founders.

About the Network Operations Role:
The NextView Network Operations Associate will drive engaging and interactive events and programming for the various networks under the NextView umbrella. Your work in ecosystem architecture, community nurturing, and network optimization will play a critical part in the long-term success of the NextView portfolio. Each network has its own specific characteristics, drivers, and goals, and it will be your job to build systems, processes, and infrastructure to empower these groups to win. As an early-stage fund, our ideal candidate for this role is a community builder & operational powerhouse who cares deeply about your work and has a knack for making connections, optimizing operations, and streamlining systems across all aspects of what you do. Here’s what you’ll be working on:
Event Operations
- This role will support end-to-end event planning and execution for the various NextView networks across our three major ecosystems: New York, San Francisco, and Boston.
- You will work alongside the Director of Platform to manage event objectives, budget, location research and venue selection, invitations, logistics, vendors, promotion, collateral, onsite planning and support, post-event follow-up communications, internal event tracking and recaps, etc.
- You will support across existing event playbooks including retreats, happy hours, dinners, mixers, webinars, and more.
- You will also be responsible for collaborating with the Director of Platform to produce net new event series to form deeper connections across the NextView ecosystem.
Network Management
- This role will focus on the activation and optimization of our founder and non-founder networks, actively engaging with the community of NextView entrepreneurs and operators to drive conversations, foster connections, and surface collective knowledge.
Founder Network
- You’ll be responsible for the management, upkeep, and optimization of our digital founder community platforms, both existing and future.
- You’ll be responsible for the management, upkeep, and optimization of our digital founder perks & benefits portal.
- You’ll be responsible for the management, upkeep, and optimization of the New York office, which acts as a coworking community hub for local founders.
- You’ll support the Director of Platform across a variety of founder communications i.e. founder newsletters.
Non-founder Network
- You’ll support NextView’s Director of Platform in driving strategy, setting goals, and developing/deploying programming across various operator networks, university networks, investor networks, and more.
General Network Infrastructure & Support
- This role will be responsible for building the necessary infrastructure to support the various network activations under the NextView umbrella.
- This role will also be responsible for ensuring all networks are properly tracked and accounted for across NextView’s data systems i.e. Affinity, Mailchimp, Notion, etc. You will work closely with NextView executive assistant on this.
- You will support across miscellaneous other support operations.
Skills & Experience
- Zero to three years of relevant experience (professional, personal, or academic), across one or many of the following functions: network management, community management, project management, office management, event planning, operations, talent & recruiting, former startup founder, former startup operator, VC platform role, accelerator programming role, etc.
- Proven track record of successfully building, launching, nurturing, and engaging communities, both virtually and in-person
- Experience with event planning and execution, both virtually and in-person
- Experience with office management, specifically co-working office management a plus
- Experience partnering with C-level individuals, managing high-level relationships, and fostering trust among various stakeholders
- Excellent networking, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Phenomenal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and execute cross-functionally across multiple different projects and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to execute with a high level of accuracy and conscientiousness
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Technical proficiency and comfort level with CRMs, CMSs, dashboard/portal creation tools, and other no-code tools (Affinity, AirTable, HubSpot, Google Suite, Notion, MailChimp, Slack, Zoom, Vimeo, Zapier, Softr, WordPress, etc.)
