Fidelium is a young, fast-growing, internationally oriented private equity company. Unlike typical financial investors, we invest in companies that are facing challenges. Stable cash flows and growth are the goal, but rarely the starting point. Our aim is to improve companies and develop them sustainably.

Fidelium manages a capital-strong fund of German entrepreneurial families. Long-term fund assets of EUR 103 million are available for the acquisition of companies, follow-on investments and purchases. We focus on the acquisition and development of investments with significant value-added potential that can benefit from our operational commitment.

Operating Partner (m/f/d)

Tasks

Immediately after acquiring a new investment, you will assume responsibility for strategic projects within the company. You can also take over an existing investment. In doing so, you will have an eye on both the long-term development perspective and operational issues that you must address immediately.

The challenges are varied: sometimes a complex carve-out from a group has to be managed, sometimes a relocation, restructuring or a "fitness program" for the cost side is required. A realignment of the product and sales side is almost always necessary. However different the starting situation may be, the goal is always to position the investment as an independent medium-sized company in the market in a profitable and sustainable manner and thus increase its value. This requires leaders who work together with existing members of the management but also provide clear, new impulses; entrepreneurial types who can be measured by results and are not above doing things themselves; people who infect others with their enthusiasm and do not lose heart when the sea gets rough.

As managing director, you also have the confidence to assume overall responsibility for the company and thus the investment for Fidelium.

qualification

• Your education in economics, science or engineering allows you to clearly understand the connection between your strategy, your actions and the impact on the company's financial results.
• With at least 8 years of professional experience in industry (advantageous -> current focus: automotive), management consulting or in the restructuring environment, you have learned to distinguish ambitious from illusory goals and have made enough mistakes to also see humility as a virtue.
• As a (ideally sole) managing director, you have proven that you can take overall responsibility for a company. Ideally in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Experience in working with private equity investors is an advantage.
• As an excellent analyst, you know that some decisions have to be made based on gut feeling.
• Good managers delegate a lot. Good entrepreneurs are good managers, but they also get stuck in and do an incredible amount themselves.
• You cannot tackle tasks half-heartedly. You are a fighter (m/f/d) who is passionate about your company.
• Words are tin at best, actions are gold, results are diamonds.
