About Tulip Ventures
- Tulip Ventures is a career student association of the University of Amsterdam focused on startups. We empower students to break into the startup world by founding companies, working in venture capital (VC), and joining existing startups.
- We're a team of highly motivated students passionate about startups, entrepreneurship, and innovation that want to have a positive impact on the Amsterdam ecosystem.
- We create media and organize events to educate students, promote entrepreneurship, and form meaningful connections between our members.
About the Partnership Team
- Establishing Partnerships: Identify and establish partnerships with startups, VCs, incubators, and other relevant entities within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Develop strategies to expand the network of partners and continuously improve the quality and impact of partnerships.
- Maintaining Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and mutual benefit. Regularly assess the success of partnerships, track deliverables, and report outcomes to the board and other stakeholders.
- Sponsorship Acquisition: Identify and secure sponsorships from companies or organizations to support events, activities, or the general operations of Tulip Ventures.
- Event Collaboration: Work with partners to co-host or sponsor events, workshops, or other activities that align with Tulip Ventures' mission.
About You
- Experience: Sales, Partnership, External Relations, or Commercial role in an internship/student association. Prior experience with sales/cold outreach is a plus.
- Education: Any
- Self-starter passionate about entrepreneurship and startups
- Proactive, autonomous, and can execute fast
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pivot and contribute to strategic decisions
- Not afraid to get your hands dirty
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Research and target relevant entities for Tulip Ventures to partner with
- Initiate contact and secure partnerships through emails, calls, and meetings
- Draft and finalize partnership agreements
- Maintain and strengthen ongoing partner communication.
- Leading role in organization of recurring events (Workshops, Pitch Nights) by sourcing speakers and other entities
- Assist in organization of complex events (Hackathon, Career Day, Demo Day) by sourcing speakers and other entities and operational support
- Team meeting 1x per week
- Expected participation to Tulip Ventures events
