This position will be located in our Menlo Park, CA or Boston, MA office, with hybrid working.
Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for supporting Investment Directors to build and manage a portfolio of technology startups. The Principal will work closely with Investment Directors and other team members in driving all aspects of investments, including defining segments of interest, sourcing investment opportunities, performing due diligence, providing a detailed analysis in picking startups, and helping close and support startup investments. He/she will be responsible for developing financial models, competitive analysis, and helping with portfolio valuation modeling. The Principal should also increase our reputation and thought leadership around energy transition innovation by visibly participating across the venture capital and energy eco-systems. The Principal will have some experience in supporting investors in all stages of venture capital investing, preferably in energy, critical infrastructure and enterprise sectors.
