About the role :

CoinSwitch Ventures is a corporate VC which has launched the “Web3 Discovery Fund” that operates in the fast-growing Indian Web3 ecosystem. We invest in disruptive technologies and work with startups and builders to create global giants. We are looking for a highly motivated investment manager to join our team as a Web3 Deal Sourcing and Evaluation Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Seeking a candidate to spearhead deal sourcing, engaging directly with startup founders to grasp their needs and use cases. The role involves identifying potential deals through Demo Days, Online Outreach, and networking.
• The candidate will evaluate Indian Web3 startups for investment, requiring expertise in Web3 trends and valuation. They will contribute to shaping investment strategies based on their understanding of these startups.
• Managing the fund's startup portfolio is crucial, necessitating ongoing support to ensure its growth and success.
• Additionally, the candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of partner VCs by maintaining regular communication and showcasing standout Indian startups.

Requirements and skills:

• Experience in the Web3, Crypto and Blockchain ecosystem plus a keen desire to deepen understanding within the industry are essential. Previous involvement with DeFi projects or DAOs is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with startup founders and partnering with VCs.
• The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
• Experience in deal sourcing, evaluation, or portfolio management is advantageous. Prior Venture Capital experience will be preferred
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Ideal candidate should have at least 6+ years of work experience
