Job Description

Fort Ross Ventures, headquartered in the Silicon Valley is searching for a candidate to fulfill an Associate role in a newly launched fund. The person would be expected to work from the Menlo Park office at least 3 days a week and no remote applicants will be considered.

The firm currently has 2 mid-stage venture funds under management with a total AUM of $335M. It is currently raising a $250M fund focused on US-based late-stage private technology startups approximately 1 to 3 years from exit (IPO or M&A). This late-stage fund will build a portfolio of investments in approximately 15 companies.


The Associate will report to the senior investment professionals in the US and also work with team members based in Israel and Russia. The Associate’s duties will include:

  • Researching appropriate investments targets
  • Building a sourcing function, leveraging the firm’s relationships, and establishing new ones.
  • Creating financial models, conducting due diligence, and writing investment memos to support investment decisions and transactions.
  • Assist the senior investment professionals in closing transactions.


The candidate must have previous 2-4 years of experience in related industries including venture capital and tech investment banking. The ideal candidate will have substantial transaction experience, an established network, and experience with the investment underwriting process, including building valuation models.
