We are looking for an Investment Principal to join our Deep Decarbonization Frontier Fund in Europe. In this role you have the freedom and responsibility to uncover exceptional founders working on revolutionary climate technologies, execute on investments and support those founders as they build highly valuable businesses. As a key member of the Investment team, you will work closely with our general partners and junior investors. This position offers compelling compensation including base salary, annual bonus, and carried interest. This role has the ability to based anywhere in Western Europe. Preferred locations include London, Cologne, Dublin or Oslo.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Sourcing, vetting and leading new investments across the Deep Decarbonization Frontier Fund’s core investment areas
• Assist in due diligence on all new investment opportunities
• Drafting investment memorandum for Investment Committee approval
• Building a strong ecosystem of collaborators across universities, research institutions, accelerators, and other deep-tech VC firms
• Working closely with EIP’s VP for Commercialization & Innovation to accelerate business between our LP’s and portfolio companies

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 5-7 years of experience in private equity, venture capital or investment banking
• Strong network in European Climate Tech Ecosystem
• A compelling investment track record
• Sector expertise in one of our target areas: Zero Carbon Energy Production, Energy Storage, Industrial Decarbonization, Food and Agriculture as well as Carbon Removal technologies
• High IQ, EQ and ethical standards
• A proven track record of working effectively on a team
• Excellent organizational skills
