Visiting Analyst London (m/f/d)

PropTech1 Ventures is an early-stage venture capital fund that focuses on the untapped innovation potential of the real estate industry in Europe, bringing together leading real estate entrepreneurs and companies, serial entrepreneurs from the digital sector, and venture capital experts. The team at PT1 believes that the real estate is facing drastic change after having failed to innovate in the areas of digtialisation, customer focus, as well as ecological and social aspects for decades. Our young and diverse investment team sources, analyses, and invests into some of the most exciting PropTech solutions from across Europe that help shape the future of the way we live, work, and play.

We are looking for a full-time visiting UK analyst to closely work with the investment team and support the wider PropTech1 team, ideally starting in February for up to 6 months. The visiting analyst can either be based in London or outside of London, but expecting to commute to London approx. 3 days per week during working hours.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

1. Source the most exciting early-stage PropTech startups

Through a combination of savvy networking, proactive research, and confident outbound communication, we want you to bring new and fresh potential deals to the table that excite yourself, our team, and the real estate industry at large.

2. Evaluate and close investment opportunities

You will help us qualify our deal flow and allocate our time to the right opportunities. In order to formulate a conclusive thesis and evaluate potential investments, you will independently communicate with founders and perform technology and market research as well as competitor analyses. This will give you the chance to accompany the entire investment process from start to finish.

3. Grow our presence in the UK real estate industry and PropTech ecosystem

As a growing business, we are constantly looking to increase our reach across Europe. PropTech1 opened its London office at the start of 2021, and since then it has built a strong foundation to expand its reach and profile across the wider UK real estate industry and PropTech ecosystem. You will be expected to coordinate closely with colleagues on the ground to execute our business development strategy by attending industry events, building key relationships with forward thinking real estate professionals & corporates.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are not expecting any specialised academic and professional background, as we strongly believe that the VC industry is shaped by individuals with courage and curiosity that would describe themselves as open-minded and love strategic problem solving. We want to create opportunities for everyone and encourage diversity and inclusion. Therefore, what we are looking for are specifically people who display the following characteristics and culture:

  • You thrive in collaborative teams and believe in joint success.
  • You have a high sense of ownership and can work independently.
  • You are a critical thinker and constantly develop and work on your own viewpoints.
  • Meeting new people on a daily basis to improve upon and share your deep knowledge of PropTech and real estate is something that inspires and excites you.
  • You want to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • You are happy about your role evolving several times over the course of the internship.
  • You are passionate about the startup ecosystem.
  • You love to network and ideally already have an extensive network that you can leverage.
