The Role
We're hiring a Head of Startup Sourcing & Community to build and scale the systems, relationships, and communities that help us discover exceptional founders before anyone else.
This is not a traditional community manager role.
You'll be responsible for expanding LvlUp's founder, scout, university, and ecosystem presence globally—building sourcing engines that continuously surface high-potential startups and emerging talent.
You'll have significant autonomy and ownership from day one.
Responsibilities
Sourcing
Source exceptional startups across sectors and geographies.
Build repeatable systems to identify promising companies before they become widely known.
Develop thematic sourcing strategies around emerging industries and trends.
Create founder referral and community growth loops.
Conduct strategic successful outreach to top-tier startups we want to invest in
Scout Program / VIR
Scale and manage LvlUp's global scout network.
Recruit, onboard, and activate top-performing scouts.
Design incentives, engagement programs, and performance tracking.
Increase qualified startup referrals and ecosystem intelligence.
Build and lead LvlUp's University Ambassador Program.
Establish relationships with entrepreneurship centers, startup clubs, accelerators, and student founder communities.
Expand LvlUp's presence across leading universities globally.
Drive student founder applications and ecosystem engagement.
Community
Develop founder communities, events, partnerships, and ecosystem initiatives.
Identify opportunities to increase LvlUp's visibility among founders, operators, investors, and startup organizations.
Launch programs that strengthen long-term founder engagement.
Build relationships with accelerators, incubators, venture communities, and startup networks.
Growth
Continuously identify emerging startup ecosystems, technologies, and founder communities.
Surface high-conviction opportunities aligned with LvlUp's investment strategy.
Bring new ideas, programs, and growth initiatives to the firm.

Strong understanding of startups, venture capital, founders, and innovation ecosystems.
Exceptional communication and community-building skills.
Able to execute independently and move quickly.
Experience in venture capital, accelerators, startups, entrepreneurship programs, or community building.
Existing relationships across founder, university, or startup ecosystems.
Experience managing ambassador, scout, chapter, or community programs.
Familiarity with Airtable, Zapier, Apollo, Notion, CRM systems, automation tools, outreach systems, and growth operations.
