Internship Description

We're hiring for a Winter/Spring Associate (internship) that will play a meaningful role across the firm, from screening startups, to taking calls with founders, sourcing top-tier startups, and even innovating new strategies & programs at the forefront of venture capital. The ideal candidate is creative, operationally excellent, hard-working, and goes the extra mile in everything they do.

This is an unpaid role for students with the potential for a paid FT role, which provides substantial education and experience that you couldn't get anywhere else. The intern should have a deep interest in not only VC, but also being an operator. Ideally, they have experience working in a startup. The start date for this position is in September, but can be earlier, and the internship will last through the end of December, with the opportunity to receive a return offer to continue in Summer 2026. The time commitment for this position is 20 hours per week. We will provide the opportunity to become deeply engrained in a leading VC firm and gain unparalleled training and experience in startup analysis and screening calls, due diligence, sourcing, partnerships, portfolio company support, and managing strategic initiatives. The internship will consist of the following tasks which are subject to change:

- Conducting market research and analysis on startups across a wide-range of domains such as Enterprise Software, AI, HealthTech, Gaming, Media, and more.

- Learning how to, and eventually leading startup analysis calls with founders and even entire deals.

- Participating in Due Diligence.

- Developing and executing creative strategies to further grow LvlUp's startup sourcing, marketing, and partnerships.

- Assisting in day-to-day operations tasks as necessary including for portfolio company support.

- You'll learn and quickly take a role in helping to scale our firm as a whole by ensuring exceptional marketing, sourcing, and partner success alongside our team.

- You must be super creative, developing strategies to expand our portfolio and its success.

- As a master operator, you have to have the smarts and organizational skills to execute.

Basic Qualifications

- Enrolled in a Undergraduate, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Sales, Psychology, Negotiation, or related topics.

- Deep experience in Startups through a job or internship at minimum.

- Creativity, a limitless outlook, an immense passion for startups and VC, attention to detail, interest in sales and marketing, and excellent organizational skills.

- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience and previous success in a VC firm, accelerator, incubator, venture studio. or startup.

- Experience with cold outreach, strategy, project management, partnerships, and/or marketing.

- Experience with tools such as Apollo, Webflow, and/or AirTable.

- Knowledgeable in current startup and technology trends.
